My first real Italian meal ever in my life was at Osteria del Cinghiale Bianco and it was amazing. A huge thank you to my lovely friend Sady for virtually hooking me up with the owner, Marco, who was so cute, so sweet, and so generous. He gave me the “Only Sady’s friends” treatment and I have to admit – I’m a girl who loves special treatment, especially when it comes in the form of cheese drenched in truffle oil – I mean, c’mon!!! His staff was unbelievably nice to me and kept the newly solo traveler that I am in great company. So, what was for din din?
- Vino Rosso della Casa (red house wine) – I got a “small carafe” of this and the Italians definition of small is like 2 bottles of wine that goes down incredibly easy. Thank God my hotel is just next door!
- Burrata with shaved truffle courtesy of Marco (I’ll be craving this daily for the rest of my life)
- Pappardelle with wild boar sauce
- Sorbetto al limone
I’m super proud of the muffin top I’m sporting right now…
