Sorry – blogging out of order, but the Ferragamo post just couldn’t wait.
I started the day later than expected since I overslept and woke up at 11:30am – oops. I was hoping to get up a bit earlier and get a move on walking in circles, but alas, the jet lag won!
First order of business was to get more euros, and after a little research, decided to trade in my US greens with Carlo, who’s right next to the Uffizi. This is Carlo!

He was a sweet dude. OK, now it’s time to do more eating.
I went to L’Antico Noe‘s little sandwich shop, which was so yummy. This was recommended to me by great people (thanks, Tara and Dianna!) so I wasn’t surprised that I was in sando heaven after my first bite.

It took me forever to choose a sandwich given there were about 25 incredible options. I finally decided on Prosciutto, Mozzarella, Funghi insalsa, and Rose sauce.

They handed me this amazing goodness wrapped in a napkin so I can take it with me as I get more lost in the narrow streets of Florence.

Here are a few things my sammy and I came across. (P.S. I guess this is what happens when you travel alone, I’ve become friends with a loaf of bread pretty much.)
1. Italian clouds look like dinosaurs…

2. More fashion that you can pretty much see between SoHo and the West Village, except Emilio Pucci was actually from Florence, Dolce & Gabbana is headquartered in Milan, and the other 2 are just squatting…
