The 2nd 1/2 of the tour was led by Paul, who I’m pretty sure is American. He took us around the Uffizi, which was phenomenally, breaktakingly awe-inspiring. Like I said in the intro of this tour, I could spend a year learning about each painting and sculpture in these offices. There’s so much behind every painting, 2 hours just doesn’t do it justice.
You’re not allowed to take pictures in the Uffizi so I don’t have any to share in this post. Well, maybe this one taken from the rooftop, but it’s kinda eh at this point.

Here’s a sneak peek via wikipedia:
- The Baptism of Christ, Andrea del Verrocchio & Leonardo Da Vinci
- Primavera, Sandro Botticelli
- Doni Tondo, Michelangelo
- The Birth of Venus, Sandro Botticelli
Not to brag (totally bragging), but I knew 80% of the questions Paul asked. This is probably the only time I can say that my knowledge of Catholicism paid off (there’s never Catholic trivia night at the bar!)…to look completely educated in front of strangers from all over the world. Score!
