I left Florence feeling pretty content and hopped on the train to Rome. This train is extremely comfortable. I had all intentions to either read or write, but I ended up falling asleep. I haven’t cracked open Edie: American Girl since I purchased it since I decided to blog during my free time or pass out. I guess Edie will have to wait for the flight back.
An hour and half later, I arrive in Rome, which looks completely different than Florence, but similarly has all the history still contained in it’s city. My room wasn’t ready yet so I decided to take a break from the heavy pasta and wine and ate a Caesar salad on the top floor of my hotel, which had the most amazing views of the city.

My room was finally ready. It looked very Roman. The Salvatore Ferragamo shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion I was used to in Florence was now replaced by Hermes. My hair has never soaked in so much luxury!

I was so exhausted from the Florence trip that I just needed to take a lazy day and stay in for the day. And, this is the ultimate perk of traveling solo, I can do whatever I want guilt free. So, I napped, blogged, watched TV, and then headed back upstairs for an overpriced Roman hotel dinner.

Next thing on the agenda: more snoozing.
